This is required so the skill can find the configuration of your local music server that has be done on our web site.

As second step you need to configure your local Lyrion Music Server setup on https://lms-player.computeq.de . Please use here the same account as used when linking the account during the skill setup.

After the skill has been activated and the Amazon Account has been linked you go to the configuration page https://lms-player.computeq.de to configure your local setup.

The folowing video shows how to setup the configuration:

Using the skill

Now you can use the skill by just saying the voice command

Alexa, open LMS player

Then it should appear soon as new player on the Lyrion Music Server. Unfortunately the Echo players buffer quite some music (up to 30s) before playing the music. this creates the effect that when changing the music on the server it can take wuite some time before the new selection is actually played. In order for the skill to reconnect to the Lyrion Music Server and to make changes to selected music take effect immediately use the command:

Alexa, next title

The voice command

Alexa, stop

ends the skill.

Things to know

Supported Speakers

Currently the required APIs are not available on Alexa enabled speakers like the Sonos speakers. Therefore the skill only works on real Amazon Echo devices.

Changing the volume

The volume is changed on the Echo spreakers.

Grouping of devices

Grouping the players for combined playing of music does not work via the grouping function of the Lyrion Music Server. But using the Alexa App to group Echo players and playing the music on them should work.

Hello and nice to meet you.
